Summary: Introductory essays and interview to The Good Book: Thirty Years of Comments, Conjectures and Conclusions by I.J. Good, edited by David Banks and Eric P. Smith. The collection includes an introduction by Good, a long and thorough interview with him, and three appreciations of his work. I.J. Good is a legendary statistician whose work has had tremendous influence, not only in statistical sciences but also in world politics, from code-breaking during World War II to policy formation during Cold War negotiations with the Soviet Union. The print version of the book, available from Rice University Press, includes thirty years' worth of Good's witty essays on statistics, originally published in the Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation.
