Summary: This lesson includes a students Individualized Educational Plan goal, an academic lesson for whole class instruction, and social skills lesson as a follow up to the academic lesson. The student's disability is Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and Dyslexia. The student's Individualized Educational Plan goal provides the accomodation of the student being able to use a computer to type his essay instead of handwrite. His goal also says that he only needs to develop 3 paragraphs instead of 5. The academic lesson is for 5ht grade student's to write a persuasive essay persuading their teacher to take a trip to their Unitied States state. Each student has conducted previous research on one assigned state in the United States and will use as many facts as collected to help write their essays. The social skills lesson that will follow the academic lesson, is for the students to group up and provide positive feedback to peers essays.
