Lenses

A lens is a custom view of Connexions content. You can think of it as a fancy kind of list that will let you see Connexions through the eyes of organizations and people you trust.

What is in a lens?

Lens makers point to Connexions materials (modules and collections), creating a guide that includes their own comments and descriptive tags about the content.

Who can create a lens?

Any individual Connexions member, a community, or a respected organization.

Data Transmission and Reception

Module by: Behnaam Aazhang

Summary: An introduction to the concept of data transmission and reception, first through bandlimited baseband channels and passband channels.

We will develop the idea of data transmission by first considering simple channels. In additional modules, we will consider more practical channels; baseband channels with bandwidth constraints and passband channels.

The concept of using different types of modulation for transmission of data is introduced in the module Signalling. The problem of demodulation and detection of signals is discussed in Demodulation and Detection.
