This figure shows the location of the biological station (red circle), the trail system (black lines), and the Madre de Dios (1), and Los Amigos (2) rivers. The trails to the right of the station mostly give access to the floodplain forest, called 'terraza baja' or 'bajio'. The trails to the left and above the station traverse through a mixture of vegetation types and the dissected terrain created by multiple streams in the area.
