    • My Favorites (What is 'My Favorites'?)
'My Favorites' is a special kind of lens which you can use to bookmark modules and collections directly in Connexions. 'My Favorites' can only be seen by you, and collections saved in 'My Favorites' can remember the last module you were on. You need a Connexions account to use 'My Favorites'.
    • A lens (What is a lens?)

      Definition of a lens

      Lenses

A lens is a custom view of Connexions content. You can think of it as a fancy kind of list that will let you see Connexions through the eyes of organizations and people you trust.

      What is in a lens?

Lens makers point to Connexions materials (modules and collections), creating a guide that includes their own comments and descriptive tags about the content.

      Who can create a lens?

Any individual Connexions member, a community, or a respected organization.

Figure 1: Beta-sheets represented in three different rendering modes: cartoon, ribbon, and bond representations.
Secondary Structure: β-sheet
Cartoon representation Ribbon representation Bond representation
Subfigure 1.1: Different parts of the polypeptide strand align with each other to form a β-sheet. This β-sheet is anti-parallel, because adjacent segments of the protein run in opposite directions.Subfigure 1.2: β-sheets are sometimes referred to as β pleated sheets, because of the regular zig-zag of the strands evident in this representation. Subfigure 1.3: Each segment in this representation represents a bond. Unlike the other two representations, side chains are illustrated. Note the alignment of oxygen atoms (red) toward nitrogen atoms (blue) on adjacent strands. This alignment is due to hydrogen bonding, the primary interaction involved in stabilizing secondary structure.

A para with a name

There are many paras to choose from in the world. We are glad you chose this one.

Gratuitous exercise with a name inside the collection

Math Problem.

Exercise 1

I write this module today, and I live to the year 2066 (hallelujah!). When can you make use of it?

Solution 1

It's a trick question, this text is available under a license that allows you to use it now. Nonethless, the copyright on this text will last until Jan 20. 2136. That's 132 years from now.

Table with footnotes
Presently, you can't put a note[@type="footnote"] in a table cell.
This cell contains a link footnote.
This cell contains a cnxn that shouldn't become a footnote. See Figure 1. This cell contains a cnxn that should become a footnote. See (Reference).
