    <para id="par1">
       Reading Basic Rhythms is a simple game that can help anyone practice reading basic rhythms in musical notation. If you do not already know how to read music, you may want to study the following modules by Kitty Schmidt-Jones before you play this game: <cnxn document="m11646">Rhythm</cnxn>, <cnxn document="m10945">Note Lengths</cnxn>, <cnxn document="m11887">Rest Lengths</cnxn>, <cnxn document="m11888">Dots, Ties, and Borrowed Divisions</cnxn>, and <cnxn document="m10956">Time Signature</cnxn>. If you do already know how to read music, you should be aware that, in its current state, the game only includes very basic rhythm in 4/4 time. If you like this game please e-mail me and tell me in what ways you think the game could be improved. If it gets enough positive response about it, I will try to create a more complete version.
