Inside Collection (Course): Comparative Phonology Using Wordcorr
Summary: The collection is the basic unit of Wordcorr. It contains data and your analyses of the data for a group of natural languages. The data are organized in the form of word lists for a number of speech varieties, with the words for each variety ordered according to a predetermined set of meanings.
Everything Wordcorr does is in the framework of a collection. You may have more than one collection, one for each family of languages you are working on. If your focus is research, you may spend most of your time on a single collection. If your focus is teaching, you are likely to keep a number of collections around for your students to work on.
