How to Make a Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Module by: Carol DeBose

Summary: Who doesn't love grilled cheese??!!

How to Make a Grilled Cheese Sandwich

  1. Gather needed supplies. Supplies include: bread (preferably a tad bit stale), cheese (your preference type *I recommend American*), butter or margarine (margarine has a lot less fat), a non-stick frying pan, butter knife, and a spatula.
  1. Coat the bottom of the frying pan with butter/margarine and put on medium heat. Next, lightly coat one side of each piece of bread with the butter/margarine. Put a slice of cheese in between the non-buttered sides of the bread to form a sandwich (butter on outside, cheese on inside).
  1. Put the “sandwich” in the frying pan and flip when the side that it’s cooking on starts to brown. When the other side of the sandwich starts to brown, remove it from pan and put it on a plate. (The browner, the crunchier; use your own preference.)
  1. Serve with your favorite juice (or milk) and tomato soup if you like. (Optional)
  1. Enjoy!!
