La agricultura son los diferentes trabajos de trato del suelo y cultivo de vegetales, normalmente con fines de producción de alimentos. Este tipo de trabajos se considera un sector básico de la economía de un país.

La agricultura ecológica es un conjunto de técnicas y métodos para cultivar una explotación agrícola autónoma basada en la utilización óptima de los recursos naturales, sin emplear productos químicos de síntesis, u organismos genéticamente modificados (OGMs), con el objetivo de hacer un uso sostenible de los recursos naturales.
