Summary: This paper is about intelligence, and the role that concentration and emotions play in it. I will show that as people age as adults their mind changes from a larger memory and learning ability to them becoming more emotional with age, and that this change is possible and fitting because emotion is very different from intelligence. Also, an understanding of the differences of emotion and intellect shows that since emotions distract from intellect, concentration (which can be defined as thinking under the pressure of emotion [since to give undivided attention you couldn’t be disturbed by emotional factors]) is an important part of intelligence.
