    <para id="delete_me">This PowerPoint file of 40 slides explains the types of graphs (line graphs, column or bar charts, pie charts, and ribbon graphs) that may be prepared with Matlab software. It tells how to choose the right one for the type of data to be displayed, taking into consideration the engineer’s purpose, audience, and context. It also demonstrates the commands used to make the graphs legible and easy to interpret. 
    </para><para id="element-845">Be aware that the graphs produced by Matlab defaults may be legible for an individual reading at a computer but not equally accessible and understandable for audiences reading graphs printed on a poster or projected during an oral presentation. Therefore, graphs must be adjusted to suit the medium and genre so that the audience can grasp the meaning easily. This PowerPoint file explains specific commands for changing trend lines, titles, legends, and so on to enhance legibility in various media. </para>
