Summary: A universal belief is that good principals create and sustain dynamic efforts for school reform, and without them, schools would not succeed. School success is dependent on effective school leadership. There is growing fear, however, that the principal’s increasing responsibilities and the ability to lead are becoming unrealistic, and school success will suffer in the wake of the leader’s overwhelming role.
