Definition of a lens

Lenses

A lens is a custom view of the content in the repository. You can think of it as a fancy kind of list that will let you see content through the eyes of organizations and people you trust.

What is in a lens?

Lens makers point to materials (modules and collections), creating a guide that includes their own comments and descriptive tags about the content.

Who can create a lens?

Any individual member, a community, or a respected organization.

What are tags? tag icon

Tags are descriptors added by lens makers to help label content, attaching a vocabulary that is meaningful in the context of the lens.

(die Système Internationale d'Unite's, of SI).

Table 1
  GROOT MIDDELMATIG KLEIN
Lengte1 km = 1 000 m1 m = 1 000 mm kilometer (km) meter (m)sentimeter (cm) millimeter (mm)
Oppervlakte1 cm² = 100 mm²1 m² = 10 000 cm² vierkante meter (m²) vierkante sentimeter (cm²) vierkante millimeter (mm²)
Inhoud1 kl = 1 000 ℓ1 l = 1 000 ml kiloliter (kℓ)kubieke meter (m3 ) liter (ℓ) kubieke sentimeter (cm3 )milliliter (mℓ)
Massa1 kg = 1 000 g1 g = 1 000 mg kilogram (kg) gram (g) milligram (mg)
