AKTIWITEIT: Om die gelykwaardigheid en geldigheid van verskillende voorstellings te bepaal [LU 2.6.3]

Om strategieë te gebruik om oplossings te kontroleer [LU 1.11]

In die vorige aktiwiteit het jul die geleentheid gehad om jul eie strategieë en tegnieke te gebruik om die probleme op te los. Uit jul terugvoering aan die klas het jul seker besef dat daar talle maniere is waarop ons die produk kan bereken. Kom ons kyk nou na ‘n paar ander voorbeelde.

1. Verdeel in groepe van drie. Lees die volgende probleem en bestudeer dan die verskillende oplossings.

Zwade sê sy gesin se munisipale rekening was die afgelope 18 maande gemiddeld R953,00 per maand. Watter bedrag het Zwade se pa altesaam aan die munisipaliteit betaal?

1.1 Ek moet 953 × 18 bereken:

Dus: (953 x 20) – (953 x 2)

953 x 20 = 953 x 10 x 2

= 9 530 x 2

= 19 060

953 x 2 = 1 906

Die antwoord is dus 19 060 – 1 906 = 17 154

1.2 953 x 18 = (953 x 10) + (953 x 8)

= 9 530 + 7 634

= 17 154

1.3 Ek moet 953 × 18 bereken en 18 = 10 + 5 + 1 + 2

Assesseringstandaard 1.11: Dit is duidelik wanneer die leerder ‘n verskeidenheid strategieë gebruik om oplossings te kontroleer en die redelikheid van oplossings te beoordeel.

Leeruitkomste 2:Die leerder is in staat om patrone en verwantskappe te herken, te beskryf en voor te stel en probleme op te los deur algebraïese taal en vaardighede te gebruik.

Assesseringstandaard 2.6: Dit is duidelik wanneer die leerder deur bespreking en vergelyking, die ekwivalensie van verskillende beskrywings van dieselfde verwantskap of reël wat soos volg voorgestel word bepaal:
