Summary: Nuestro sistema descentralizado (en EE.UU.) que originalmente fue diseñado para una comunidad agraria, se enfrenta ahora a una economía global altamente comunicada y actualmente inestable, con sistemas de comunicación instantáneos, una marcada desigualdad económica, desplazamientos migratorios de grupos humanos imposibles de detener, desastres ecológicos inevitables, violencia étnico-religiosa, y conclusiones de dudosa ética. ¿Podrá la inteligencia y adaptabilidad humana ser capaz de salvar una educación decadente, para producir la fuerza social e intelectual adecuada para enfrentarse a estos crecientes desafíos? Los autores de este artículo sostienen que los Nuevos Eduerati, es un liderazgo que iniciará esa transformación. Impulsados por un ego que no necesita títulos, los Eduerati tienen una visión futura que ve al presente. Los Eduerati son los arquitectos intelectualmente motivados del sistema educativo quienes, como los Literati, y los Technarati, son suficientemente preparados y comprometidos para mejorar su campo profesional con nuevas formas de pensar.
