10-Key Calculators

Introduction

Calculators can perform math functions quickly and easily. The most common functions are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

The typical 10-key calculator will include these parts:

  3. On/Off/Print

  4. Subtract key

  5. Memory keys

  6. Total key

  7. Addition key

  10. Clear All/Clear keys

  11. Multiplication key

  14. Decimal selector

This course will use the Touch Method, which means using the calculator without looking at the keys. Using this method will help develop competency. After building competency, students will be able to use 10-key calculators to enter numeric data and perform calculations efficiently.

Lenses

A lens is a custom view of the content in the repository. You can think of it as a fancy kind of list that will let you see content through the eyes of organizations and people you trust.

What is in a lens?

Lens makers point to materials (modules and collections), creating a guide that includes their own comments and descriptive tags about the content.

Who can create a lens?

Any individual member, a community, or a respected organization.

Tags are descriptors added by lens makers to help label content, attaching a vocabulary that is meaningful in the context of the lens.
