For at kunne gøre brug af BlackBoards kursusblog, skal man være logget ind på BlackBoard. Når man er logget ind, skal man vælge det fag man vil oprette bloggen i. Herefter trykker man på "Tools" i den venstre menu. Man bliver herefter ledt ind på en side med forskellige værktøjer på BlackBoard. Her vælger man "Blog". Inde under blogværktøjet er der en knap, hvor der står "Create Blog". Tryg på denne, og herefter åbner bloggens redigeringsværktøj sig i vinduet.

For at kunne oprette en blog skal man give den en overskrift. Det gør man ved at skrive i feltet "Name". Når man har givet sin blog en overskrift, så skriver man sin tekst i feltet nedenfor værktøjsbjælken.

Værktøjsbjælken indeholder knapper, der kan ændre på teksten layout, gøre dele af den til links, implementere billeder, video og lyd til teksten og meget mere.

Når teksten i bloggen er skrevet færdig, og man er færdig med at gøre brug af værktøjsbjælken, så er der mulighed for at udspecificere yderligere parametre for bloggen under tekstfeltet. Man behøver dog ikke at ændre på indstillingerne i disse hvis man er i tvivl om hvad de gør.

Lenses

A lens is a custom view of the content in the repository. You can think of it as a fancy kind of list that will let you see content through the eyes of organizations and people you trust.

What is in a lens?

Lens makers point to materials (modules and collections), creating a guide that includes their own comments and descriptive tags about the content.

Who can create a lens?

Any individual member, a community, or a respected organization.

What are tags? tag icon

Tags are descriptors added by lens makers to help label content, attaching a vocabulary that is meaningful in the context of the lens.
