Program Title: Faculty Development Committee
Program Description: In addition to its role as a faculty advocate, the FDC organizes community building activities throughout the school year. Members of the Faculty Development Committee serve as the members on the standing committees of the Board of Trustees.
Rationale: The purpose of the Faculty Development Committee is to represent the best interests of the faculty to the school administration and develop a spirit of community among faculty staff and administrators
Leadership: The Faculty Development Committee was created by the Board of Trustees.
Implementation: The Faculty Development Committee was created by the Board of Trustees.
Processes and Resources: Members are elected by the faculty to 2-year terms. Half of the FDC positions are re-elected each year. The members elect the chairperson.
Finances: Budget set by Headmaster and President Xavier High School and approved by the Board of Trustees and supplemented by voluntary donations from the faculty at large.
Rewards: None tangible.
Time: (When/Length) The FDC has been in place for 20+ years.
Location /Space: Throughout the school.
