FORWARD: The Roles of Leadership and Management
Leadership is both objective and subjective. Management as currently defined is closer to the objective side of leadership and leadership is more closely aligned with the subjective side. This dichotomy, however, may not serve us well. The eight nationally recognized authors represented in this collection clearly address both sides of this dichotomy, making the point that leadership and management are both important functions, but that they have different purposes and they seek to obtain different outcomes.
