Create a collection with existing modules
A course/collection contains several Connexions modules that you group together in a specific order. These modules will appear as chapters in a single document to Connexions visitors who view your course/collection. To see an example of a course/collection click here.
Here are the basic steps to create a Connexions course/collection. For more detailed instructions, please use the links that appear in the steps.
1.
Get Started
Get an account and log in to your personal workspace.
After log in it changes to:
- Get an account using the Get an account link in the Author Login box.
- Log in and go to your workspace using Go to Author Work Area or the Authoring Area tab.

Create Content
Create a Course/Collection in Your Workspace.
- Create a new course/collection in your workspace. Select Course from the drop-down list next to the Create New Item button, then click the button.
- Read and agree to using the Creative Commons license.
- Give your course/collection a title and select a language.
- Click the Contents tab in your new course/collection and add section names to group modules by topic, if necessary.
- Click on the item title in the course outline under which you want to insert a module and use the Search feature to locate modules to add to your new course/collection. The item you select could be the title of your course/collection, a section, or a subsection. You may add several modules.
3.
Publish
Publish your course/collection, sharing it with the world.
Complete the course/collection creation process with the following steps.
- Click the Preview tab to view your course/collection online and verify that it appears as you intended.
- Click the Publish tab, type a statement about an initial publication in the Description of Changes text box, and click the Publish button.
Congratulations! You have created a Connexions course/collection.
