Biography:

I am currently a lecturer, educational writer and facilitator of the entrepreneurial education programs @ Southbank Institute of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. I deliver these courses along with mentoring and coaching of entrepreneurs in a role I like to describe as New Venture Architect.

The entrepreneurial training at Southbank includes 4 short courses in business Modelling, Starting an Online Business; Bootstrap Marketing for startups; and Cashflow funding for Startups. We also offer the nationally recognised post graduate qualification in entrepreneurship called The Vocational Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship;.

Prior to this role, I have spent 20 years being an entrepreneur and 5 years working with entrepreneurs in my capacity of Senior Analyist for a Merchant Bank. I have personally started over 13 new businesses involving 30 separate outlets.

My current role gives me the time to reflect on my experience and share what I have learned through sites like Knol. Ultimately, I want to be part of what I believe will be the biggest opportunity in the first half of the 21st century - Open Online Education for the planet via the technology of the web.
