Biography:

Dr. Sherion Jackson is currently Director of the Faculty Development Lab in the College of Technology and Computer Science at East Carolina University, where she oversees production of online training courses according to best practices. Throughout the past 35 years, Dr. Jackson has served as an educational consultant, SACS Reviewer, K-8th school principal, taught 2nd, 4th, grades and 7th & 8th grade math in the public school system in several districts across the United States and taught a cadre of graduate and undergraduate level courses using face-to-face, on-line, and distance learning. She holds a teaching, principal, and superintendent certificate in Arizona. In the past 4 years, Dr. Jackson has published over 25 journal articles, 3 edited book chapters, 2 invited presentations, 4 practitioner-oriented articles and presented over 24 conference papers. Her articles have most recently appeared in Texas Journal of Distance Learning, Educational Leadership Review, and School Leadership Review.
