Biography:

Jonathan Emmons is the Community Development Specialist for Connexions, a non-profit organization committed to making high-quality educational materials available to everyone around the world at no cost. Since joining the project in 2008, Jonathan has worked closely with authors and partner organizations to identify and meet strategic content needs within the Connexions repository. He also serves the author and user communities by providing technical support and training, working one-on-one with educators and learners to help them realize the full power and potential of open education resources.

Jonathan graduated from Grinnell College with a BA in Computer Science and earned his M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia. Before joining Connexions, Jonathan worked as an instructional designer creating web-based and instructor-led educational materials for corporate learners. He also has several years experience working in academia as a technology specialist.

When not hard at work serving the Connexions project, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is also a member of the Texas Army National Guard.
