Biography:

W. Joseph King is president of QOOP. Previously, he was the executive director of Connexions. He has extensive background as a technology entrepreneur. He was on the founding team of F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV) and Zama Networks. He was a senior research scientist at the Human Interface Technology Laboratory of the University of Washington, and he has conducted research at Hughes Research Laboratories and GTE Telecommunications Research. He is a fellow at the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute in Kyoto. He is a trustee of Southwestern University, vice chairman of Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, chairman of Rice University Press, and board member of Connexions. He holds a B.A. with honors from Southwestern University and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
