Kenneth Leroy Busbee is a full-time professor in the Computer Science Technology Department at Central College within the Houston Community College system. Joining the college in 1984, he has taught many programming topics including courses in COBOL, main frame IBM assembly, Intel assembly, Pascal, "C" and "C++". He is also recognized as one of the leading faculty members in developing and teaching distance education courses.
Mr. Busbee earned an Associate of Arts degree in 1973 and a Bachelor of Science in 1974 from Brigham Young University. He spent 3 years as a Supply Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Returned to BYU and earned a second Bachelor of Science in 1979 and a Master of Accountancy in 1980. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1980 and joined the computer consulting division of Arthur Anderson (which is now Accenture). He changed employment in 1982 to Alexander Grant & Company (which is now Grant Thornton).
Mr. Busbee is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has practiced part-time as a CPA since 1984.
He has a Certificate in Data Processing (CDP) granted by the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP).
He is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a program of APICS - The Association for Operations Management.
